Dr. Courtney Strubin
Dr. Courtney Strubin is an Oakland, MD native. She vacationed with her family in Morehead City, NC growing up and fell in love with the warm sunny weather of the coast, the dog-friendly beaches and the southern charm of the residents. She knew that after dental school Coastal North Carolina is where she wanted to work and live.
Dr. Strubin attended Frostburg State University in Maryland and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued her education at West Virginia University where she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After graduation, Dr. Strubin attended East Carolina University to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
Dr. Strubin dreamed she would be a dentist as far back as she can remember. She loves reintroducing a patient’s self-confidence by restoring their smile. “Dentistry holds the unique opportunity to greatly impact someone’s life in a relatively short period of time. It is such a great feeling to see them smile.” Giving back is important to Dr. Strubin; she was able to participate in a dental mission to Guatemala during dental school and here at home, she regularly participates in NC MOMs clinics and Give Kids a Smile events.
Dr. Strubin received intense training in periodontics during her residency at ECU including the placement of implants and gingival grafting procedures. She is also certified in Invisalign. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Outside of her work life, she loves running with her dog Toby and spending time with her family and friends enjoying the outdoors; hiking or just being on the water.
